Changes to PyjamaHR Forever-Free plan
Changes to PyjamaHR Forever-Free plan
Updated over a week ago

Harpreet from PyjamaHR here.

I’m writing to you to convey some changes we’re making to our forever-free India-only plan. Since day one, we’ve provided our customers with the best tools and services we could and offered most of them for free (excluding add-ons like job boosts and assessments). To build on the PyjamaHR product, reinvest in our product and customer success, and integrate the latest in tech and AI into our product, we’re making the following changes in the coming weeks to our forever-free India-only plan:

Max 5 active jobs at a time: Since our start, we’ve integrated the latest and greatest platforms in the world with our systems. Now, we’re taking the next step with our AI models and adding over 10+ new job board integrations to PyjamaHR over the next few weeks and months. However, there’s a significant cost to keeping all these integrations running smoothly on a per-job basis, which is why we’re now introducing this restriction.

Max 5 recruiters: As PyjamaHR has grown to support over 20,000 recruiters globally, we’ve realized the importance of maintaining the quality of our service and support. To ensure each recruiter and company receives the personalized attention and high-quality service they deserve, we’re introducing a limit on the number of recruiters per free plan. This change will enable our dedicated team to focus on providing exceptional support and developing deeper, more impactful relationships with our users.

Max 1000 emails/month: To maintain the high deliverability of emails and protect the integrity of our platform, we’re introducing a limit of 1000 emails per month for our forever-free India-only plan. This measure is critical in mitigating spam and ensuring that all communications reach their intended recipients without delay. Please note - you can still send unlimited emails using PyjamaHR if you integrate your company’s email in Settings -> Integrations.

For teams that exceed these limits, we’ll be reaching out to each of you individually over the next few days to discuss how we can accommodate you under our paid plans.

I genuinely believe that these changes will make PyjamaHR a better product for our users. However, we also want to make this transition as easy as possible for users. Therefore, I’ve tried to anticipate and answer a question that I think our users will have (see below). I’m sure that you will have additional questions or comments that are not answered below. Please feel free to reply to this email or email me directly at [email protected]

I thought the PyjamaHR ATS product would always be free. Why are you now adding limits and fees?
When we first launched PyjamaHR, we thought we could offset free users and job postings by offering paid add-ons like job boosts and assessments. However, while these paid add-ons have scaled, their revenues are still dwarfed by our massive development, customer support, and server infrastructure costs when it comes to building and maintaining complex applicant-tracking software for tens of thousands of business users. This gap is only likely to get larger as we open up to global users and companies. The solution that we’ve come up with is to maintain the forever-free India-only plan as we’ve always had it, but introduce some reasonable caps like max 5 recruiters, etc.

What additional benefits are offered with the new Indian premium plan?

With all the changes, we are now able to provide you with additional premium features that can help you further optimize your recruitment process. Here is the list of additional features that we are offering:

AI-Resume Match: Leverage the power of artificial intelligence to match resumes with job requirements, saving you time and ensuring a more efficient recruitment process.

New Advanced Reports: Gain deeper insights into your recruitment data with new advanced reporting features, allowing you to make informed decisions and optimize your recruitment strategies.

Automated resume import from emails: Simplify the process of uploading resumes by automating email uploads, making it easier for you to import and manage all your candidate data with ease.

SOC-2 and ISO Security Certifications: Rest assured knowing that your data is protected with SOC-2 and ISO security certifications, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance.

Unlimited Job Postings: Post unlimited job openings to attract top talent from around the world, giving you access to a diverse pool of candidates.

Internal Job Postings (IJP): Facilitate internal mobility and career growth within your organization by promoting internal job postings and opportunities.

Employee Referral Program: Encourage employee referrals and incentivize your workforce to refer qualified candidates, fostering a culture of engagement and collaboration.

Global Job Posting: Expand your reach and tap into global talent pools by posting job openings across multiple countries and regions.

AI Pre-Screener: Screen candidates more effectively with AI-powered pre-screening capabilities, allowing you to identify the best-fit candidates for your organization.

Multiple Time Zones and Currencies: Seamlessly manage HR operations across multiple time zones and currencies, ensuring consistency and efficiency in your global workforce management.

What is the pricing for the PyjamaHR Premium plan?

The pricing for PyjamaHR's Premium plan is set at Rs. 1,000 per user, per month. Additionally, we offer a 10% discount for quarterly billing and a substantial 25% discount for those who choose annual billing.

Even beyond these caps, we’ve priced PyjamaHR at a level that is far below any comparable products. I truly hope that it works for you. This revenue (charged only to our largest users) will help ensure that we’re here over the long term to enhance our product and add the latest in tech, security, integrations, and AI into PyjamaHR - so all our users can hire better and faster.
